Suggestion edit
This article is unsatisfactory:
- It describes in detail two totally unrelated groups of people on the same page
- All the content regarding black African people is repeated or presented in a more accurate form on other pages (e.g. Xhosa, Zulu). Much of the content is untrue or not NPOV (e.g. "In the past, Kafirs were essentially warriors")
- The content is apparently based on a Victorian writer's work. Not only might this be a copyvio, but it is inaccurate and seriously misleading. So far as southern Africa is concerned, the word has not been used in this sense for a century. For someone to use the word Kafirs to describe modern black South African people would cause serious offence.
I propose turning this page into a disambiguation page : directing readers to the different southern African articles (e.g. Xhosa, Zulu) and to Kafirs of Hindukush and Kafirstan. Only 7 articles link here, so there is unlikely to be much traffic.

- I'd actually go as far as suggesting a complete removal of this article and all references to this page. Why should it exist? --Janto 00:22, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
