Multiple issues template edit

As of july 2011 this article is tagged with the multiple issues template for the following reasons:

  • 1. It needs additional references or sources for verification. (Tagged since May 2009.)
  • 2. It needs sources or references that appear in third-party publications. (Tagged since May 2009.)
  • 3. The notability of this article's subject is in question. If notability cannot be established, it may be listed for deletion or removed. (Tagged since May 2009.)
  • 4. It may need to be wikified to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. (Tagged since December 2010.)

I'm planning to address (at least some of) these issues shortly. Jaho (talk) 00:09, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Addressing issue 4: I've changed the image to a thumbnail (it was previously displayed full scale), added an image caption and removed a <br /> HTML-tag. Because the article no longer conflicts with any of the criteria mentioned in Wikipedia:Glossary#Wikify, I consider the issue solved and I'm removing the wikify tag. Addressing issues 1 & 2: The article consists of only two sentences and has one reference. I don't think that an article in this beginning state is in desperate need of more refs. I consider isssue 2 (third party refs) a valid issue, but it seems to me that issues 1 & 2 address the same single problem. I'm removing the refimprove tag, keeping the primarysources tag. Addressing issue 3: I'm rather surprised about the notability thing. Katz has a reputation as audio engineer and his paper did not go unnoticed in the field; this article is not a case of self-promotion. Also, the person who tagged the article more than two years ago did not bother to motivate the tag here on this talk page, as the text in the template suggests. Nor did anyone else. I'm removing the notability tag. Jaho (talk) 00:45, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Adding an issue: Obviously the article is in desperate need of expansion; it doesn't have much value like it is now. I'm pasting the expand parameter. Jaho (talk) 00:58, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Which failed; the multiple issues tag doesn't seem to have an expand parameter. :( Jaho (talk) 01:00, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Used stub template instead. Jaho (talk) 01:08, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

That leaves us with the following two issues:

  • 1. Article needs sources or references that appear in third-party publications. (Tagged since May 2009.)
  • 2. Article needs expansion. (tagged stub since July 2011.)

I'll try to address both soon, but if anyone else feels like it; please go ahead. :) Jaho (talk) 01:11, 8 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
