Contested deletion edit

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is a significant medical journal of long standing with respected editors, one of whom Hagop Akiskal already has a significant Wikipedia article about his notable achievements. Note that the journal is not notable because of Akiskal. Read WP:PROF: the editors are notable because they are editors of this notable journal... --Randykitty (talk) 19:26, 28 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I agree that Speedy Deletion is not appropriate, and have declined that, though others may yet disagree. I have, however, noted the lack of asserted notability and verification of that notability on a slower 'proposed deletion' and chosen that route to give you and others time to expand it and deal with the lacking aspects of the article. Please do not delay your enhancements to the article. Fiddle Faddle 14:51, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
OK, thanks for clarification Fiddle Faddle. Matty.007 14:54, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
My thinking was that it fell just on the correct side of having asserted sufficient inherent notability to be given a chance. However, that chance does need to be taken, and the editing challenges grasped and conquered. Fiddle Faddle 14:58, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Would you suggest an {{in use}} tag on the article? Matty.007 17:21, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
No. I suggest good and substantial editing to assert and cite the notability. Fiddle Faddle 12:54, 28 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
