Fair use rationale for Image:Cotten farmers.jpg

Image:Cotten farmers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:22, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

President Cotten

What about the reference to Joseph Cotten in Woody Allen's Sleeper? Maybe it was “In the New World, there will be a place named California, and a man named Joseph Cotten will become famous."(from Allen's book Without Feathers, 14).Lestrade (talk) 22:55, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Lestrade

"Early Life and Career" section needs fixing

Something is missing in the "Early Life and Career" section. 76.199.89.188 (talk) 18:23, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

You're absolutely correct--looks like something was accidentally deleted back in October. It's been restored.GeoWPC (talk) 21:47, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Personal life?

Typically in these Hollywood Wiki biographies, there is a section on the actor's personal life. On other Wiki pages, it's suggested that he had an affair with Ingrid Bergman but there is no mention here and he, apparently, had no children which was unusual for the time he lived in. Anyone have additional information on this part of his life? 69.125.134.86 (talk) 08:36, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Joseph Cotten

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Joseph Cotten's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:12, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
