editWhereas I don't have a clue where this building might stand I am really sure it isn't located on the place for which coordinates are are given in the article. --Matthiasb (talk) 11:17, 30 November 2012 (UTC) Moved from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places
- I checked the coords from the Elkman tool, which gives the location as 40°38′55″N 88°46′48″W / 40.64861°N 88.78000°W. Does that seem more accurate?--GrapedApe (talk) 12:38, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, that seems more reasonable than the middle of a a storage or fabrication hall where the former coordinates have been pointed. From looking on the Google satellite image I'd guess that the building is located about 100 yards more to the south but there are some trees which are covering the details. --Matthiasb (talk) 12:49, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
If you notice in the photo, there is a swimming pool in the background, as well as coords on the file, which are the same as elkman's. FWIW, I guesstimate that it's the next tree south of the Elkman coord, at 40°38′54″N 88°46′48″W / 40.6482°N 88.7801°W Smallbones(smalltalk) 21:14, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Bing's birdseye view shows this much more clearly. Andrew Jameson (talk) 12:53, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
