In the original book Dracula Quincy Morris sought Lucy Westenra's hand in marriage. Since she married Arthur, Lord Godalming, it is unlikely that Quincy would have any legitimate children considering the social values of the time. Normally, this would not be particularly relevant to the plot of a video game, but the events of Bram Stoker's original work are considered cannonical in the Castlevania storyline.
What is stated above is true, just as is the fact that John Morris was supposed to have been born in 1895, which would make him 2 (or going on 2) when his father had the showdown with the evil count. Thus, it would be unlikely for him to remember much of that event, and moreover, would he have followed him around Europe? Just something to ponder a bit...
