Back in October Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars tried to redirect Jungle Boy (John Eddie song) into this article. This redirect was reverted by Neptune's Trident, so Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars put a merge tag on the page. The reason given for the proposed merge was that there isn't enough information about the song to warrant a separate article for it. I agree with that assessment. If Neptune's Trident is going to push for this article to remain separate then s/he should put in the work to create enough detail to warrant a separate article. The article has been sitting here for four months without any more content. So I have to ask Neptune's Trident if you're going to add enough content for the song to have its own page? And if not, why are you opposing the merger? I had assumed you had abandoned the page, which is why after four months I went ahead with the merger proposal per WP:BB. • I couldn't agree more. Based on content alone and per WP:NSONGS, "Notability aside, a standalone article is only appropriate when there is enough material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album"; which is precisely the case here. In fact, the two articles are pretty much completely redundant and a merge is highly appropriate. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars^{Talk to me} 10:20, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

    • We're not really arguing whether the song is notable. We're arguing whether there's enough material to create an article detailed enough to fork off from the album. I'm wary of trying to take any action on a 2-1 conensus, so I'm going to post on the Wikiproject to ask for some more input. Wieno (talk) 03:28, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
