House? edit
Visited this site. Address verified by awning, but no house to be seen. Therefore, photo request stays if someone can identify the house described in the application. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pubdog (talk • contribs)
- The image of the building at 20 N Michael St is clearly not a house at all, and certainly not a historic property in the Italianate style. Google Street View shows a house (obscured by trees) matching the photograph and description of the house a short distance north of the Diamond (exactly where the application says it is). The building labeled 20 N Michael St in your photo is southeast of the Diamond, just before the railroad tracks (Erie Ave). Either the address in the application is wrong, or the numbering scheme for Michael St was changed at some point in the past (entirely possible given the weird configuration of the Diamond). - Hi --- thanks for investigating further. I concur with your assessment. Next time I'm through St. Mary's I'll get a picture of the correct property. I guess I should remove this image?--Pubdog (talk) 22:04, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
My in-laws confirmed that the building has no street number on it. It's between 138 and 106 N. Michael St. The pics they took are pretty lo-res, but have the virtue of having been taken before the leaves come out and obscure the facade from the street. There's a placard in front of the house by the sidewalk, but it's not readable in the picture they took. Powers T 19:36, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
