No.1 Singles

edit

It says that Buffett only has two number one singles. I'm assuming that "Margaritaville" and "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" are the ones being referred. But what about "Volcano"? It reached #1 on CAN. Geeky Randy (talk) 05:57, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rancho Deluxe

edit

Should the Rancho Deluxe soundtrack be in the main body of the article? It is in the navigation templates at the end of the article. --Khajidha (talk) 23:22, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Christmas albums

edit

Why is 'Tis the SeaSon listed in the main table for the 2010s but Christmas Island (Jimmy Buffett album) is not in the main table for the 1990s? I can see listing both or listing neither, but listing one and not the other makes no sense. --Khajidha (talk) 19:53, 15 September 2018 (UTC) Never mind, I've fixed both of these issues. --Khajidha (talk) 16:13, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

The enumeration and sequencing of the studio albums is inconsistent with the main page of the discography article. It says "Life on the Flip Side" is the thirtieth studio album, which is correct if you include the Christmas albums.

How do we determine whether to count the Christmas albums towards the total of studio albums? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulzeroes (talkcontribs) 21:00, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • I propose the Christmas albums count as studio albums because the albums comprise of premiere recordings made in a studio. This would be different from a compilation or live album. By this logic, I'd also consider the 2020 release, Songs You Don't Know By Heart, a studio album as well because, despite there being no new songs, it's premiering re-recordings that were made in a studio. If the album doesn't include previously released recordings and/or recordings captured during a live performance, I'd think it'd be considered a studio album. This would go for soundtracks too, so Rancho Deluxe should be counted also. Geeky Randy (talk) 00:41, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
