Jeff Tweedy GA Reassessment

As part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles' Project quality task force ("GA Sweeps"), all old good articles are being re-reviewed to ensure that they meet current good article criteria (as detailed at WP:WIAGA.) I have determined that this article needs some work to meet current criteria, outlined below:
- There are a few clearly unreferenced statements, some tagged, some not, in the article.
- "While waiting for Wade to return from campus, Jay, Tweedy, and Heidorn formed Uncle Tupelo."
- "The band maintains that the firing of Jay Bennett was a collective decision."
- "The band was also known as The Primatives due to a misprint on their business cards" (in refs)
- "These chronic migraines caused Tweedy to become dependent on painkillers".
- What makes: nodedepression, Request Magazine, reliable sources for a blp? Also, all references need to be fully and consistently formatted; things like publisher and accessdate info are missing from some refs.
- On the image front, File:Childtweedy.JPG and File:WilcoYankeeHotelFoxtrot.jpg are non-free, but don't really meet the threshold required for WP:NFCC; they are mostly decorative and are not the subject of critical commentary, so they should be removed.
- Also... looking at File:Jefftweedyps07.jpg, I'm concerned this may be a copyright violation, considering the user does not have a strong history of contribs, the image is low-res, of better-than-average quality and close composition, and lacks metadata.
I am putting the article on hold for one week pending improvements to the above. Please keep me appraised of progress on this page. Thanks, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 23:40, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- As no progress has been made on the above, I am delisting the article. Questions or comments should be taken to my talk page. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 22:04, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
