Harvard's withdrawal

The article previously said, "In 1911 a new policy by the operators of the St. Nicholas Rink, the primary facility for league games, forced Harvard to resign from the league." This was cited to this article from the Daily Princetonian, dated January 10, 1912. However, the article does not support that claim; it says, "The University hockey team will play Harvard in the St. Nicholas Rink in New York this evening, the game commencing at eight o'clock. The action of the faculty allowing but one outside game to be played, necessitated Harvard's withdrawal from the Intercollegiate Hockey League." While the reference to an "outside game" is vague, I suspect it might mean that the Harvard faculty was concerned about all the travel to New York City required for games at the St. Nicholas Rink and wanted the hockey team to play most of its games in the Boston area. But, in any event, this seems to have been a decision taken by the Harvard faculty restricting their college's hockey team, with no input by the rink being mentioned. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 23:54, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
