An editor (User:Hppboston) buried this comment in the article but I think it would be more appropriate here where it can be discussed. This article was referenced to the Oxford Companion to Wine and after work I will review the source and give a fuller reply about how the source presents the material. Need more sections and Informations edit
While the Indian wine industry in a rapid phase, it will be very good if the Wikipedia has additional information on statistics on Wine production and also by grape variety. Also the page needs "Praise and Criticism" section for several Indian wines already got high accolades from magazines like Decanter. History of Indian Wine also doesn't seems to be adequate. It will be good if the reasons like total abolishment of Alcohol under Indira Ghandi government can be linked with late emergence of India into wine production. Prominent people responsible for Indian wine production needs to be included. Many Indian wineries faced a crisis during early 2010 and reasons for the same can be presented here. The complications associated with state duties needs to be discussed. And more importantly, over the past five years, several foreign winemakers started to venture into India. The page will glow up if those informations are included..

This article lacks any mention of wine exports, eg who are India's export markets? How much is exported? What are the barriers to export (is it just that production has difficulty meeting local demand)? FreeFlow99 (talk) 11:06, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
