title?

Why is the double "s" the "Correct name" as opposed to the single s'? — pd_THOR ^{| =/\=} | 00:04, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

• Because it is the possessive of a singular noun, Illinois. Illinois' would mean it is the possessive of the plural form of Illinoi.—Markles 11:55, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Historical voting trends on a shifting map

I think the section marked voting which lists out presidential election results is misleading as the map over the time period has shifted considerably. Map update needed

My Wikipedia weakness is graphics, so I'm not going to attempt to update the map on this page myself. However, the map displayed now is out of date and I can provide links to a current map. The first link leads to a PDF document with a fixed-size map and a written description of the boundaries. The second leads to a map that can be zoomed to many different levels of detail. I don't even know if it's possible to add such an adjustable image to a Wikipedia article, although it seems likely that there is a way. Orphaned references in Illinois's 6th congressional district

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Illinois's 6th congressional district's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
