Infobox and lead
  • The infobox is perfect.
  • It was released as a digital download on February 14, 2018 (Valentine's Day), through Heiress --> It was released as a digital download on February 14, 2018 (Valentine's Day), through Heiress Records (for the first appearance in prose)
  • previous pop, dance, and electronic dance releases → reads a bit odd, can't we simply have "previous pop and dance oriented releases"?
  • "I Need You" was praised by critics, who positively responded to Hilton's decision to experiment with a different musical genre. → "praised" here by default implies that they positive responded, so it sounds kinda repetitive. Suggest trying to rephrase the line.

More to come. —IB [ Poke ] 11:55, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for the review so far! I believe that I have addressed your comments so far. Hope you are having a great week so far. Aoba47 (talk) 18:31, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Recording and release
  • Paris Hilton co-wrote "I Need You" with its producer Michael Green and songwriter Simon Wilcox for her second studio album → Do we know when she wrote it? That would actually help the content tally back to the leak in 2010.
  • According to the sources that I have found, Hilton co-wrote the track with Green sometime prior to the initial leak. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • A week before the song's release, she posted photos as part → Photos of what? Cover art? Music video? Recording? etc.
  • Good point. I have updated the information. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Do we have the recording studio name?
  • Unfortunately, the information on the song's recording and production is rather limited. I do not believe that liner notes exist for the single (now that everything has moved to digital and I do not believe that this received a physical release) and I do not know of any other ways of receiving the information. If I can somehow find more information about this, then I will update it. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Composition
  • While Hilton had previously released pop music, dance music, and electronic dance music → Same comment as before for the lead.
  • Hilton Dresden of Out interpreted the lyrics → The previous sentence to this one also begins with Hilton (surname) but still its a consecutive usage of the word. Suggest rephrasing it as "Out magazine writer Hilton Dresden interpreted..."
  • Good point. It is slightly ironic (or must merely coincidental) that a writer with the first name Hilton wrote about a Hilton lol. Revised. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • File:INeedYouParisHiltonAudioSample.ogg → Rationale is quite generic, it needs to be tighter saying exactly what the sample illustrates the reader aurally. Also, the caption that you used in the embedded sample in the article is basically a duplicate entry and talks about the whole song in general, not what the sample illustrates again. You might wanna take a look at the rationale for File:Madonna - Don't Tell Me.ogg.
  • I wanted to include the song sample to highlight its doo-wop production as it is a departure from Hilton's previous releases and it was the subject of frequent critical commentary. I thought that it might also be helpful for readers who are unfamiliar with the genre. I have updated the caption somewhat, but let me know if it requires further work. Unfortunately, critics did not point to a specific aspect of the instrumental/composition in their commentary. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Reception and music video
  • Hilton Dresden responded positively to the single for its "softer, moodier direction → Per above, only Dresden.
  • through Hilton's official YouTube account.[28] → Use en-dash in the reference header
  • @Aoba47: this was not applied across the article for all the reference titles. Please re-check. —IB [ Poke ] 06:06, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • She said that she "fe[lt] more comfortable" with Zylka as the director.[29] Hilton explained → Hilton felt "more comfortable" working with Zylka as the director.[29] She explained ...
  • Hilton appears "various stages of undress" throughout the video → Hilton appears in "various stages of undress" throughout the video
  • She is shown wearing various wigs and 1950s-inspired fashion → She is shown wearing different wigs and 1950s-inspired fashion
  • Hilton poses in various types of lingerie and pops out of a cake → Think you can merge it with the previous or the next sentence. Currently we have pretty small bits of sentences which might be fruitful to join them and make the flow better.
  • Good point. I have revised it, but let me know if it needs further work. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Shannon Carlin of Bustle compared the clip to a David Lynch production → [how?] is it a Lynch production?
  • The writer did not really elaborate on that point. This is the part from the source on that matter (To celebrate its release, Hilton even dropped a rose-filled video that is giving some serious American Beauty vibes, that is if it was produced by David Lynch.). I can remove the sentence if necessary. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Ref. 33 --> Use en-dashes. Actually check the dashes across the whole article tbh.
  • The charts can use the {{single chart}} template for linking to Billboard, as it contains the weeks and everything.
  • I am not certain if that would work in this case. For some reason, the official Billboard profile on Hilton does not contain the chart information on this song (at least, it did not when I wrote the article). For that reason, I am not sure if it would lead to some sort of error screen, if that makes sense. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Per documentation and access, I think YouTube links are migrated to the Infobox rather than the External links section.
  • I think that this is more of a personal preference. I have seen GAs and FAs on songs that include the music video link in the "external links" section and the infobox. Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

That's all Aoba, I think we can resolve the items pretty quickly. —IB [ Poke ] 08:49, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for the review! I greatly appreciate all of your help. I believe that I have addressed everything to the best of my ability. I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far! Aoba47 (talk) 19:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Thank you for the correction! I am always terrible with the chart formatting. Aoba47 (talk) 04:11, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • I will take a look through it and provide comments in a few days. Aoba47 (talk) 13:44, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
