Series not airing in 2014, will instead air in 2015.

It seems like, since 2014 is drawing to a close that iZombie will instead be airing in 2015-2016. Shouldn't this be noted on the page? I know there is no source to back this claim, but seriously, it's obvious the series will air during 2015-2016, most notably during the 2015 mid-season break. It seems as though most of the websites I've gone to state that the show won't start airing up January 2015. 2601:C:780:234:B027:24E4:1F98:A860 (talk) 09:08, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

good argument, I added it. some new information is expected from CW either way, the last info about iZombie was in may 2014. I just hope they wont suddenly cancel itPoroboros (talk) 19:16, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

Character name incorrect?

5 "Flight of the Living Dead" imdb lists Bradley James ... Lowell Casey (1 episode, 2015)

Not "Lowell Tracey"

IMDb = Unreliable source. Alex|The|Whovian 15:45, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Lowell's name

I see that the iZombie writers' Twitter is used as a source here, but I find that problematic personally. When it comes to character names, don't we use the source material? Because in episode 9 of season 1, a screen pop up appears around 17 minutes in for Lowell's caller ID that clearly reads "Tracey".

I would personally think this overwrites what the Twitter account says, especially since it had previously identified him as "Lowell Casey" not long before hand, but I wanted some second thoughts. Sock (tock talk) 00:05, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

I'd go with the onscreen used, but would also try and look at closed captions if the name is ever said in episodes to see what that uses. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:53, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

Liv Moore name games

At least two of us feel the homophone of the character's name is worth pointing out, and the same person reverted both our edits. ("two" was me; "of" was somebody else.) i'm not really sure what to say, but i don't want any single editor to come along and remove information i've added without others even having a chance to see it and consider whether or not it's noteworthy. (It also just occurred to me that this could be a case of 2 votes against 1, or 2000 against 1, depending how many people saw and approved of "our" version before Alex undid us.) i feel like the wordplay deserves mention, because it reflects what the filmmakers were thinking at the time (that the name was not an arbitrary choice with comparably effective alternatives), and especially because it might partially explain why the show would use a different name than the source material.

Just my two cents. --71.121.143.118 (talk) 07:10, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Same as your issues at the Galavant episode page - this is your own original research, what you think the name means, and is completely unsourced. And it could be 2 against 1, or 2 against 1,000 as well - notice how no-one reverted my edits to restore the article. Find sources for its notability, then we can discuss this properly. -- If you'd still like to fit this in, in Season 1 episode 5 "Flight of the Living Dead", Clive is interrogating Lowell Tracy about the Max Rager skydiving incident when Liv walks in. Clive introduces her by saying "This is Olivia Moore. She's the ME (medical examiner) on Holly's case." Lowell (knowing they are both zombies) responds by saying, "'Liv Moore', huh? So... Do you?" He was obviously referencing the intentional joke with her name. --HowToOjoBoredWerk (talk) 19:23, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

List of iZombie Characters page proposal

I think we can all agree the character section admittedly needs to be trimmed down. I propose or have the main cast bios/list of recurring characters moved to a 'List of iZombie Characters' page, ala List of Arrow characters, List of The Flash characters, and List of Once Upon a Time characters. It seems to be the standard procedure for genre shows, and I think the iZombie page could benefit from it.

If you want to create such a page as a draft at Draft:List of iZombie characters by using the articles that you linked as a basis, you are more than welcome to. -- AlexTW 09:11, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

I've logged in and done so, the draft is now ready to be reviewed/revised/published by an administrator. Once it's made, I'm willing to do the trimming to the main cast bios. Also, I tried to add a photo of the cast to the page, and while it has yet to be deleted I had difficulty figuring out how to add the licensing/ non-free media information and use rationale. I assume it would be the same as the cast photo for fellow CW series File:Arrow (cast).jpg, but I may be mistaken. Holyhamills (talk) 10:17, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

As the recurring cast list keeps growing longer with the most recent addition of Jason Dohring's character, I'd like to inquire as to what more I can do to have the Draft:List of iZombie characters published as a page. If we simply keep a main cast listing on the TV series page with a link to a character list, I think it would trim things down to have the detailed character information/non-series regulars moved to a characters page. It's worth keeping the information in my personal opinion, but if it were organized on it's own page and we could trim down the main article? That would be for the best. Again, just one man's opinion. I'm willing to add more detailed character information once it is created, but would prefer to wait until the draft is out of limbo.
Also, just as an aside; the List of Arrow characters page contains a promotional image with the main cast pictured. I tried to add a similar page to the draft of iZombie characters, but was a bit stuck when it came to adding all the licensing information and rationale. The image has been released by the show's actors on social media, but to my knowledge it has not been released officially by the CW. 74.102.48.55 (talk) 06:28, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
The page has been created, but as it was not officially released as part of a publicity or press kit- that cast photo unfortunately can not be used at this time.Tr114 (talk) 03:57, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

some changes

In the lede, I hid the trivia about the Season 4 renewal date and premiere date; belongs more appropriately in text body but, seeing as how similar trivia for S2 and S3 isn't worth mentioning, I don't know where to put it, so maybe S4 is deletable?

Seeing as the show has expanded since its debut, shouldn't Premise be reworked?

The Robert Knepper subsection is not good. For starters, its prose is terribly stilted and outright awkward. And the "timeline" of info jumps around repeatedly — is there some reason to not simply make it chronological? The "promoted" should be explained, as here it sounds like he'd been assistant janitor or something. The Pedowitz quote staggers drunkenly, apparently a literal transcription rather than anything classically journalistic, so right there I'd suggest a better source for similar sentiments and, meantime, cut that word-for-word mishmash in half. Overall, the tone seems to hint rather broadly that Knepper is guilty as charged (by an unidentified victim) but remained on the show, albeit hounded off after S4 — whether accident or intent, that tone makes the factoid overall weaselly. resolved (mostly)

Incidentally, I see that this entire subsection has been cut-and-pasted — as in word-for-word — to Robert Knepper#Sexual assault allegations, including the "then newly promoted" meme. Seeing as similar allegations in his past have been summarized in about one-quarter the verbiage, perhaps that is a good guideline.
