I hope i don't seem disrespectful, or (worse) ungrateful, for starting out by mentioning my keying myself a note about the "wretched Dab" -- because clearly it was a good faith effort, which embodied valuable research and made it clear that this was one of those recurring games of "Is This Anything?" whose outcome is "Yeah, that is something!", and thus requires more effort than i would have undertaken if these colleagues hadn't provided the evidence that the effort is well worthwhile.
The sad truth is that "a Dab is not an article" and the insights that one gains by writing articles are almost completely inapplicable to Dabs. So thanks for setting up this shot, which turns out to be mine to complete; i'll make a regulation Dab out of it, and ... uh ... add wretched entries to wikt:husker and du, to take over the misplaced dictdef's function.
