  • "Hurricane Babe was the second tropical cyclone and the first to impact the United States..." - You might want to change "the second tropical cyclone" to "the second named storm", because apparently there were four tropical depressions before Anita and Babe, see the 1977 AHS article.
  • "75 mph (120 km/h) and a barometric pressure of 995 mbar (hPa; 29.38 inHg)" - Please wikilink mph and km/h, since it is the first use of those terms; also link mbar, hPa;, and inHg.
  • "The most significant impact occurred in Louisiana where the storm caused $10 million in damages, mainly from crop losses. An additional $3 million..." - Add inflation templates to both of those money values, I am sure the inflation has changed significantly since 1977.
  • "Heavy rainfall in North Carolina, peaking at 8.99 in (228 mm) triggered flash flooding but little damage." - Wikilink in and mm.
Meteorological history
  • "Hurricane Babe originated from a tropical wave that exited the western coast of Africa on August 23. Tracking westward, the wave eventually entered the Gulf of Mexico on September 2." - Hang on, I am about 100% sure the the tropical wave had either crossed the Caribbean Sea or the Atlantic before reaching the GOM. However, in its current state, it looks like it teleported from the west coast of Africa to the GOM.
    • Not necessarily, it says it eventually reached the GOM, rather than jumped there. Also, there is no indication from the source where it was during that time so I can't add the requested information. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 01:58, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • "The newly formed system then interacted with an upper tropospheric cyclonic vortex situated near the Florida coastline." - Which Florida coastline? There is the east coast of Florida, the Gulf Coast, and the coast along the Straits of Florida.
    • It's clarified through the preceding sentence stating that it was already in the Gulf of Mexico. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 01:58, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • "...a closed eyewall with an eye measuring roughly 23 mi (37 km) in diameter." - Wikilink mi and km.
Impact
  • "...including one F2 that injured one person and caused $2.5 million in damages near Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish." - Inflation template needed for $2.5 million.
  • "$500,000 in damages.[8] Throughout the storm's path, damages amounted to $10 million[1] with an additional $3 million from tornadoes.[13] There was no loss of life due to Babe." - Add inflation templates to those three money values.
  • You might want to mention that Babe was active simultaneously with Typhoon Babe in the West Pacific.
    • It has no significance to the storm, it's just a man-made coincidence. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 01:58, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Summary
Good job overall on the article, all that you need is some minor revision to pass the article according to the GA criteria.--12george1 (talk) 01:32, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
