Some comments:

  • Most of the discussion on the current page should be moved to genus Hoya page because it is general information on the genus.
  • Specific information on the carnosa should be retained, and information specific to carnosa should added similarly to the information on obscura.
  • Wax-plant should redirect to Hoya carnosa, which is opposite of what is happening at the moment.
  • Photo gallery on Hoya page should be moved to carnosa page. Photos for genus should show 4+ photos of hoya flowers from a range a species.
  • Some guidelines for adding species information should be listed: photos including single bloom, bloom cluster, single leaf, overall plant growth habit, etc. Some of this has been started on the obscura page.
  • Lastly, thanks for adding the information here!

I will get around to making some of these changes myself as I find time. Doolin 15:29, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Leaf morphology edit

Hello 2a02:3038:208:11bd:bcc7:646f:886a:7399. Is The leaves, ovate or elliptical, are 3-5 cm wide and 3.5-13 cm long, with a petiole of about 1-1.5 cm. repeated? You removed it[1] and said it is repeated but I don't think so. (If it is restored it should be The leaves, ovate or elliptical, are {{convert|3-5|cm}} wide and {{convert|3.5-13|cm}} long, with a [[petiole (botany)|petiole]] of about {{convert|1-1.5|cm}}.) Distribution edit

Distribution listed is for all hoyas, carnosa has a narrower native range (mostly China and Japan). I'm not an active editor here, so if someone wants to fact check me and make the change, it would be appreciated. 2001:56A:7C07:5600:7012:3617:14C7:1D4E (talk) 15:17, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
