editI was wondering if someone could try to include a picture. I'm not sure how to. 216.162.28.202 18:30, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Pics
editI found these greats photos at http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/souvenir/1919ww1h.htm and http://www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/souvenir/1902hors.htm, but I also do not know how to incorporate them into the article. I would appreciate any help. (172.152.128.252 03:46, 24 January 2006 (UTC))
- The first thing to do would be to email the person who runs that site and find out about the copyright status of those images and if we can use them on Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission for sample text). Note that the images would have to be either public domain or licensed under the GFDL (see WP:GFDL for the full text of the license). Assuming that everything's kosher, instructions on how to put them in the article can be found at Help:Images. HTH. howcheng {chat} 07:16, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
It says it's okay as long as it's not for commercial use. Plus, I tried reading that article and it's really very confusing. 172.131.202.99 17:13, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, that's not valid licensing for WP, because there are a number of mirror sites that do make money off the content. Copyrights are complicated but if you stick to public domain and GFDL images, you'll be OK. If you're a student/alumnus at the school or if you live nearby, perhaps you could take some pictures and put them in. You could also summarize some of the text available on those web pages and link to them so that people reading this article can still view the pictures. howcheng {chat} 19:12, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
