GA Reassessment

When compared against GA criteria, this article is not up to par. Here is how it currently stands:

• Is it well-written?: Fails MoS and needs a general copyedit. The plot is also too long per WP:FILMPLOT at around 840 words as opposed to 400–700 words. Also be sure to check for WP:CONTRACTIONS and WP:WEASEL.
• Is it verifiable?: The "Cast" and "Video Games" sections are entirely unreferenced, and most of "Soundtrack" is unsourced. Multiple unreferenced sections are an automatic fail. Additionally, IMDb, JWFan.com (a John Williams fansite), and Starpulse are not reliable sources.
• Is it broad in coverage?: In addition to a bloated plot, there is no detail on the soundtrack's critical or commercial performance. One paragraph's worth of critical reviews is also rather little considering how it is a well-known Robin Williams film and among Bob Hoskins' most well-known roles.
• Is it neutral?: No issues here.
• Is it stable?: Much of the most recent edits were back-and-forth reverts, though the article hasn't been edited at all in the past 2 weeks.
• Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?: Both images are relevant and have appropriate FUR's (fair-use rationales) for non-free content.

I'm sorry to say that I am delisting the article as it meets quick-fail criteria and would not pass a GAN if nominated today. Before renominating, I would strongly recommend taking to GOCE (particularly for plot) and then taking to PR for further input. Best of luck. Snuggums (talk / edits) 01:57, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Well that was a little sudden. I feel like these issue probably could have been fixed within a day. I brought this article up to GA status six years ago and just came back to see all this unreferenced stuff in the music and video game sections. None of that was my work. The cast section doesn't require references though, since it's just a simple cast list. I already got the bloated plot down. Next time give it a week. Wildroot (talk) 02:55, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
