  1. In sentence "Chinese carrier, Hainan Airlines, and Mr Mung Kin Keung took over the airline in 2006 by acquiring a 45 percent and 55 percent holdings in the airline, respectively.", rmeove first two commas. Removed as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 04:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  2. The comma after China in sentence "In April 2005, the Hong Kong Air Transport Licensing Authority (ATLA) granted a five-year licence to transport passengers, cargo and mail to China, the airline was free to apply for traffic rights to 10 cities in China." should be a semicolon. Updated as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 04:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  3. In sentence "The holdings will be transferred to Grand China Air, a new holding company of Hainan Airlines." "will" should be "would". Updated as suggested. Aviator006 (talk) 04:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  4. The sentence "Two months later, on 7 August, Mr Mung Kin Keung acquired the other 55 percent of the airline and became the controlling shareholder; and its director on 13 August." sounds awkward. Sentence rephrased to 'Two months later, Mr Mung Kin Keung acquired the remaining 55 percent of the airline and became the controlling shareholder on 7 August; and its director on 13 August.' 5. Citation needed to indicate Siem Reap, Laoag, and Subic Bay as terminated destinations. Citation added. Aviator006 (talk) 04:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  6. Citation needed for Retired fleet section. Citation added. Aviator006 (talk) 04:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
  7. Can a brief summary of the Loyalty programmes be added? Brief summary 'The Fortune Wings Club is the loyalty programme for Hong Kong Airlines and its sister airlines, including Grand China Air, Grand China Express, Hainan Airlines, Hong Kong Express Airways, Lucky Air and West Air. Membership benefits include air ticket redemption and upgrade; VIP members have additional privileges of dedicated First or Business Class check in counters, lounge access, bonus mileage and extra baggage allowance.' added. 8. I noticed this article has less detail then some of the other airlines articles I have reviewed such as Cathay Pacific. Can any more detail pertaining to this airline be added to the article? History expanded. Aviator006 (talk) 14:05, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am placing the article on hold. Dough4872 (talk) 17:17, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

All comments reviewed and updated in the article. Re comments 6-7, both Terminated Destinations and Retired Fleet have newly added citations, they are based on (1) previously news articles mentioning the airline's operation to those destinations and (2) the current destination and fleet information, to give the conclusion that those destinations and fleet are no longer served/used. Re comment 8, I have expanded the History section with more info. I understand it is significantly smaller than your previous GA Review of Cathay Pacific (CX), this is simply because CX is over 60 years old, while HK Airlines is only 8 years old. Please review the History section and let me know if it is no okay. Cheers! Aviator006 (talk) 14:05, 1 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
The history section, along with the rest of the article, looks good, so I will pass it. Dough4872 (talk) 00:44, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
