New article

edit

This article contains material split out from Universal Time-Sharing System. The CP-6 text outweighed the UTS/CP-V stuff and I felt it deserved an article of its own. All I have done so far is write a new lead and reformat the lists. It needs a lot of links, etc. Otherwise the original was all good. Peter Flass (talk) 12:55, 2 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

This article contains quite a few colloquialisms. I've corrected a few of them ("folks" → "staff") but more work is needed. The article also reads more like a personal memoir than an encyclopedia page. I'm not trimming it down right now, as the unsourced information seems harmless, but it does need a lot more references. I have rewritten some of the text, but the section about the customers needs work. Is it usual to include a list of all of a company's customers in an article? And thank them for their feedback? —Anne Delong (talk) 21:16, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I think you know the answer to that :) QVVERTYVS (hm?) 22:56, 10 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

ACTC

edit

I'd like to see some information or a reference for ACTC. Do the initials stand for anything? Peter Flass (talk) 02:13, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

ACTC stands for "Advanced Computing Technology Centre" at the University of Calgary. A brief discussion of their history is available at https://multicians.org/site-uc.html. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.144.144.44 (talk) 23:43, 17 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
