Missing long references edit

Although the article content was copied from the article Science and invention in Birmingham by user:Peterkingiron, the content had recently been copied from the article History of Birmingham by user:Old Bess who had not followed the Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia guidance and stated from which article the text had been copied. However a bot edit to the article Science and invention in Birmingham] at 02:51, 7 August 2011 caught one of the edits with the edit comment "Rescuing orphaned refs ('Tillott 1964 75-77' from History of Birmingham" so I have copied the missing long references from the History of Birmingham article and added them to the References section in this one. -- PBS (talk) 21:27, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. If I remember correctly, I did this as a means of removing a lot of irrelevant accretions from another article, without having actually to delete it. However it is difficult to recall the events of three years ago. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:46, 17 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
