CCF and Progressive Parties
editAlmost nothing is said of these parties. They were NDP predecessors shouldn't they have a brief history given? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.73.81.10 (talk) 06:32, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
Merger proposal
editI'm suggesting that New Party (Canada) be merged into this article. It is noteworthy as an historical footnote only. "New Party" was an interim name that had no lasting significance, other than as a precursor to the NDP, and ran only two candidates under that banner, in a pair of byelections. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 05:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- Support. Anyone looking for an article on that term will be looking for the history of the NDP and the context this article brings. DoubleBlue (Talk) 05:53, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Socialism or social democracy?
editIn response to the note on the main page, the CCF was already clearly a social democratic party. The ideology of the N.D.P. was also social democratic. There is little to discuss.
Image copyright problem with File:Ndp70s.PNG
editThe image File:Ndp70s.PNG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.

Orphaned references in History of the New Democratic Party
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of History of the New Democratic Party's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Pizza structures?
editI’m not Canadian, so I may probably be missing something here—but what is the reference to the ‘pizza structures’? JJLiu112 (talk) 01:32, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Just some vandalism that went unnoticed on a not-well-trafficked page. Thanks for catching it, I've removed it. — Kawnhr (talk) 02:00, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
