Talk:Hiremagalur

The name hiremagalur literally means "Older daughter's town". This makes sense with Chikamagalur (Younger daughter's town) being adjacent to it. I heard a story that a king gave the two villages as dowry to marry his daughters. Does anybody know if it is true?
