Notability
editThis song does not meet the notability requirements outlined at WP:MUSIC#SONGS. Failing substantial discussion to the contrary, I will redirect this again. - SummerPhD (talk) 18:35, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- This song does meet notability requirements because the song is a single from the album and not just a track. It meets all the standards of a music single and also has sources stating it's a single. It also has a music video released for the song. The song is also eligible to chart, but hasn't due to the very recent release (May 15th). Rockin56 (talk) 21:15, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- Singles are not automatically notable. Please specifically cite the criteria under WP:NSONGS you feel this single/song meets. - SummerPhD (talk) 19:34, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- "Notability aside, a separate article on a song is only appropriate when there is enough verifiable material to warrant a reasonably detailed article; articles unlikely ever to grow beyond stubs should be merged to articles about an artist or album." ---- This article is more than stubs. It has a substantial amount of sources providing information for the article and the article gives detailed information about the single and it's release that would not fit in it's section on the album page. Rockin56 (talk) 21:04, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- The section you are quoting says, basically, that a song might meet the notability criteria and still not be appropriate for a stand-alone article. All (both) of the sources were blogs, which are not reliable sources. This song is not notable. - SummerPhD (talk) 15:48, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
