Not exclusively paediatric edit
This procedure can be carried out on any person whose communication between their bile ducts and small intestine is not patent, for example after complications in gall bladder removal resulting in the severing of the bile duct. Ged3000 (talk) 17:30, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
