Neolithic ‘temple’ revealed at site on Orkney edit

Lots and lots in the newspapers today, if anyone wants to expand this article:

Good one - although it may need it own article if it is not formally part of the WHS. Ben MacDui 17:19, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
The Herald article explicitly says that it is within the World Heritage Site:
"... was found not far beneath the surface of the narrow strip of land that divides Harray Loch from Stenness Loch on the Orkney mainland. It is an area that is at the heart of Orkney's World Heritage Site..."

It is certainly located in a prime position and may be included willy-nilly, but there may also be specific boundaries already set by UNESCO around the site. There is no reason not to start mentioning it here for starters. It looks like a pretty exciting find, but I am a bit bogged down in Hebridean rocks at present. So many islands so little time.... I've started a draft - watch out for a blue link at Ness of Brodgar. Ben MacDui 13:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

No "Ness of Brodgar" label on map edit

Please add this to the map. I assume that it's the name of the thin, "connecting" piece of land between the stones of Stennes and Brodgar? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.249.30 (talk) 21:27, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
