Arc Significance

It was not an accident that the alien was written to take the form of a preacher. His message has a very Christian-like tone, telling about evils of mankind and how they will doom it. The episode is ulimately about warfare, like many other OL episodes, and the energy power is an allusion to nuclear weapons.
