I don't know if it's appropriate to link directly to the song or not, and I don't know what its copyright status is (ha! - the song was recorded in 1914!) so I'll leave it to wiser folks than I whether to link it directly in the article.

Creation date error edit
The Library of Congress has a copy of the sheet music and it's catalogued as: Created/Published 1908. All other sources that I've seen say it was first published 1913. When the sheet music at the LOC (not the cat. entry, the actual images) is inspected, the publication date MCMXIII (1913) is on page 1. I also removed Bobby North claim because 1) it conflicted with the 1913 pub. date; 2) I could not find an RS for a recording of this song made by North (lots of people point to Ken Burns' Horatio's Drive, but the documentary credits don't even mention the song, let alone North). Also, some people citing Horatio's Drive say North recorded it in 1920, but it seems like he was focused on film-making by then, no longer singing. Richigi (talk) 02:38, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
