CAPS?

@AlanM1:- I have seen it used in source in both all caps and as 'Have Drill'. I am ok ether way, and would like the article to use it consistently - can you provide a source that ALL CAPS is US military norm? Attack Ramon (talk) 14:22, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

@Attack Ramon: – I was mistaken. I apparently was remembering CIA operations being all caps, not military. To start with, see the scans of the book The Central Intelligence Agency and Overhead Reconnaissance: The U-2 and Oxcart Programs (authored by the "History Staff, Central Intelligence Agency"). Note that OXCART is no cap'd in the title on the site, but it is in the book. A lot of refs are to this site (which is pretty consistent about it other than that), and it's pretty well thought of, but I'm looking for more... —[AlanM1(talk)]— 14:30, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

If you search for some project names (e.g. "BLACK SHIELD", "OXCART", "AQUATONE"), at the CIA site, they are pretty consistent there as well. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 15:12, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Attack Ramon: Here's a list of candidates gleaned from the index of that book. Note that there may be exceptions where we may want to use title case, like in the context of the other (non-CIA) participants; Project Rainbow seems to be written about in title case both at CIA and elsewhere, while the GWNSA folks use all-caps. Also, some acronyms/initialisms may be in the list, which should definitely be all-cap'd for that reason alone.

• I suggest lowercase with initial capital, unless each name in the list is a proven acronym. Uppercasing them all may be CIA and/or military official, but it is not Wikipedia official as far as I know. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:35, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

There may be film of this MiG-17F plane at the Internet Archive and in Wikimedia Commons

This plane may be documented in this uploaded film in Wikimedia Commons, which came from the US National Technical Information Service via the public.resource.org FedFlix program and into the Internet Archive. Unfortunately, the film has no metadata and contains no information about its date or subject. Subsequently, people have tried to identify what exactly it is showing, with the uploader claiming it is part of Operation Diamond (a MiG-21 espionage operation).
