The surname "Haring" is not uncommon in the Netherlands, also "Haring" is Dutch for Herring. In my opinion it is quite likely that the surname has Dutch origins in stead of Austrian, or there may have been parallel developments. <b>Case</b>man (talk) 13:40, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
