Ok so i grew up in the SE Baltimore/Baltimore County area. And i have never recalled anywhere in that are being called Harborview, Bayview yes, Harborview no. The are in the first section they seem to be referring to seems more like Graceland Park, which does straddle the line, and is adjacent to the Heights. But Berkshire, which is in North Dundalk, is still at least a mile or more away. The second part, with the residential high rises, seems to refer to the Harborview that is know today, that being the development at the foot of Federal Hill. Anyone else have any thought on this before i make changes. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 02:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

To follow up... I grew up in South Baltimore and have seen much of the city working for the city government and the Lutheran church. I've never heard of the neighborhood, but, given that there are hundreds of separate neighborhoods in the city, one could exist by that name. However, the very thorough City of Baltimore website lists no neighborhood with that name in that area. http://www.baltimorecity.gov/neighborhoods/southeast.html
The editor misfit is actually a very respected and active editor (an admin, I think), so perhaps it would be worth checking with misfit about his/her knowledge of the neighborhood. Certainly the part about the high rise and marina is completely wrong, referencing the development on the east side of Federal Hill, and should be removed. --Apostlemep12 00:14, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
To correct myself, looking at the official list of community associations, maintained by the City of Baltimore at http://www.baltimorecity.gov/government/planning/images/CADAlpha.pdf, there is the following listing: Bayview Community Association, Inc, Ms. Elaine Welkie, 301 Elrino St., Baltimore, MD 21224, Phone: (410)633-4750, Email: ERGJWJR2@MSN.COM, Boundaries: Anglesea St/Kane St/Pratt St/Eastern Ave
So, perhaps we eliminate the highrise/marina comment and hope someone from that 'hood is interested in making this article better. --Apostlemep12 00:19, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
With no offense to misfit being an admin does not equate to being very respected nor active, also it only seems as he copy edit work. The article was started by Passthedutch, and additions about their being high rises was added by a non reg. I am aware of bayview, though even the information pertaining to the community in the article would not be correct. Was seeing if their was anyone else that had a comment on if the Harborview name was used for some neighborhood that i had not been aware of. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 03:23, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Made the changes to reflect the harborview section of the city on Key Highway. Moved most of the other material to a new article for the southeast neaighborhood of Graceland Park. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 01:04, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
