I was given a caution message by Wikipedia when I added the "Country Music Discographies" line as an external link, but I don't know why, as the underlying information is very credible. The source website is powered by Blogger, which is on Wikipedia's suspect list of malicious platform providers. However, I can vouch for the credibility of the Praguefranks link. Thank you. Hi, I am wondering if Roy Rogers does all the whistling that is in many of his songs? Thanks, crbmoss

This article should have a side table with an audio sample added. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.151.241.73 (talk) 18:12, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi!

I believe that in this article Van Halen version should also be mentioned, because it's definetly known around the world much more than original song.

It is mentioned, it's in the second paragraph. Dayewalker (talk) 09:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

contradiction

edit

Paragraphs one and two don't jive, either the song was used in the 40s and 50s radio show, or the song was based on Foy Willing's song written in 1951. It can't be both, unless someone found a TARDIS lying around somewhere. 24.55.213.129 (talk) 22:49, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've removed mention of the '40s, since I can find no reference to the song appearing on the show prior to the '50s. 174.239.122.63 (talk) 08:25, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't this be present tense, rather than past tense?

edit

The article reads:

"Happy Trails" was a song by Roy Rogers and wife Dale Evans, known as the theme song for the 1940s and 1950s radio program and the 1950s television show in which they starred.

"Was" a song by Rogers and Evans?

It still is (and always will be) a song by Rogers and Evans, won't it?

So it should read ""Happy Trails" is a song by" etc., shouldn't it?
