'Hamd' is also used extensively in Christian religious music from India and Pakistan and all over the world where people from this region are found. 'Hamd' is not the exclusive domain of any religion. As pointed out - it denotes praise to a deity, it is more extensively used in the Muslim world.

As far as I know, the word Hamd is not used in the context of Christian religious music. If no one can support this with a citation, it should be removed.--Sarabseth (talk) 20:13, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please cease and desist from promoting Tanwir Phool on this page.

I have said this via edit summary before on Dec 1: "PLEASE STOP PROMOTING THIS POET HERE."

You have received a friendly warning about this on your talk page on October 19, just after you started wiki-editing: "Please don't try to insert the content about him into articles about other people (as you did here)."

If poets who have written hamds are to be mentioned in the article, there are many illustrious people in the pantheon of Urdu poets who would have to be mentioned before a relatively minor poet like Tanwir Phool would deserve mention. You are just gratuitously promoting this poet.
