Possible REDIRECT
editI see this is being reverted repeatedly (over a period of time) and is not being discussed here. Please reach a wp:consensus. If the discussion is taking place somewhere else, please use the {{mergefrom}} and {{mergeto}} templates.
Redirecting an article is not wp:vandalism, though it may be problematic. In this case, 2 of you appear to simply be at risk of wp:edit warring...reverting without discussion... as there was no talk page here at all.

- It's been discussed (admittedly not much; there wasn't any dissent) on Talk:Hadji Singh and Talk:Jonny Quest. The article that someone has restored a couple times is mostly: unsourced speculation of little relevance (the "U.S. military slang" section) and trivia (the "Ongoing popular references" section). Without that, there isn't enough to base an entire article on, and the character can easily be covered in the article about the series. Meanwhile, there are three other regular characters in the series (including the title character) which don't have their own articles; I see no reason why this one needs to be treated differently. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 21:17, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Probably no reason not to. An interested editor may decide to put a {{mergeto}} here, with a pointer to the discussion. There might be dissent, now. Or not.- sinneed (talk) 22:13, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Strong oppose: The article could stand improvement, but it is a perfectly reasonable extension of the Jonny Quest main article. The fact that other characters don't have their own articles is immaterial. Create them if you wish.... 96.231.137.242 (talk) 21:45, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't wish to, because they are equally unnecessary. There isn't enough notable information about this character to require its own article. The only way to "improve" this article is delete the trivia, and once that's done, there is plenty of room in the main article for it. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 00:51, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've done a basic clean-up of the article, which I believe demonstrates the amount of appropriate information. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 01:45, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
The Simpsons has dozens of individual characters with their own articles (check 'em here). Why the animosity against little old Hadji? As to trivia.... It's a kid's cartoon! It's ALL trivial! 96.231.137.242 (talk) 21:01, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Discussion has only just started, I know I haven't been invited to "!vote". That is the last step, if needed.- sinneed (talk) 22:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Trivia is in the eye of the wp:RS. Notability is the main reason the Simpsons is so heavily covered. They are so very heavily viewed and sourced that they have their on list. The Lisa Simpson article has about 77 cited sources (probably some are duplicates). It refers to 8 books dedicated to the Simpsons.
- Popularity of Wiki pages is not a big concern, but worth noticing... this shows hits on just the list of characters.
- Contrast to Jonny Quest to The Simpsons
- And Hadji_(character) to Lisa Simpson
- I noted with some interest that hits have gone up quite a bit on JQ...- sinneed (talk) 22:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have no animosity against the character; I have animosity against organizing information badly. There simply isn't very much to be said about Hadji, which is reflected by the fact that not much has been said about him. There's plenty of room for what needs to be said in the main article about the series. If the feature film changes that, so be it... but at this point, Hadji, Race, Benton, and Jonny can be - and are - adequately covered in a single article. - Jason A. Quest (talk) 02:52, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support redirect Hadji Singh already redirects to Jonny Quest, this article will never be more than a stub. L0b0t (talk) 17:42, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
