Title Capitalization
editI wanted to change its title from Guest house to Guest House but I thought I should ask first. What do you think about my proposal? Shouldn't we move this article from Guest house to Guest House?

- what you are seeing is an artifact of how wikipedia article naming works. The real title could be either "guest house" or "Guest house". Both instances of "guest house" or "Guest house" will match the current title. But existing instances will all FAIL. You will leave things in the strange situation that either "guest House" or "Guest House" will work.
- It is best to leave it as-is, IMO. -- Geo Swan 23:02, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Move to Secondary Suite
editGiven that this article is more of a section than a full article, and that there was consideration of deleting it, I decided it would be best to move it into the article on Secondary suites. While a guest house may also be categorized as rented accommodation, I thought that it was moreover a housing type, and that this type is most completely (but not fully) described in the Secondary suite article.--Jrsnbarn 13:21, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I think this was a very poorly advised redirection. There are far more links to guest house than there are to secondary suite.
- And this redirection exposes the general weakness of redirecting an article to a subsection of another article. When a redirection is to a subsection editors have no way of knowing that the subsection title CAN NOT BE CHANGED WITHOUT BREAKING THE REDIRECTION.
- The wikipedian who redirected the article seems to have overlooked that the meaning of guest house they focussed on was merely one of the meaning of this phrase.
- So I am moving this article back.

disambiguation
editI also reverted a mistaken excision of disambiguation. Someone thought the disambiguation link to Guest House (TV series) was "spam". Geo Swan (talk) 02:21, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
