Advice for the New Wiki User

Hi there! I have some advice with this page. I'm glad you decided to contribute to Wikipedia! There are a lot of rules that need to be followed to maintain Wikipedia's quality standards, so here are a few things that would be helpful:

1. Living in Grogan's Mill is great (I was born in Panther Creek in 1988, raised in Alden Bridge until 2007!), but having first hand information is not enough to be able to add to Wikipedia. Everything you write in an article needs to be referenced. If you don't know how to reference in an article or what is acceptable for references you can look at Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources.

2. This article is what is called a stub. There is not enough information in it to warrant a full article on it. It would be better to merge it into the article for The Woodlands.

3. Wikipedia has standards on notability. A topic needs to be noteworthy to warrant an entire article on it.

Hi! I am learning about Wikipedia by using it! I live in Grogan's Mill. In other words, I am a resident and feel 100% qualified to share my knowledge. My family has lived here since 1984. Please be patient with me as I edit. Thanks!

I got it started. I hope it meets some minimum. I would like help in making The Woodlands a big category with the villages underneath.
