Let's clean this up! edit

OK, so my extensive changes were reverted. I admit looking at the provided link that I hadn't followed all the guidelines on the Wikipedia style page, but I think it's clear that the page as it exists is a mess of cruft. Sorry for making such radical changes without discussion here. I'm open to discussing ways to make this page better. Some suggestions:

  • Eliminating the Green Line (Demarcation Line) link, as it just redirects back to this page
  • More clearly breaking the links into three categories -- Demarcation lines, transit lines, and the magazine -- and fleshing out the headers a bit
  • Putting the transit links in some sort of order (I chose alphabetical by city in my edit, but I'm open to suggestions) instead of the ad hoc grab-bag that appears now
  • Coming up with a consistent style for each bullet in the transit line link

Hoping to make this page and the other color line pages more informative. --Jfruh 02:48, 12 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I don't have any problems with your suggestions here. I reverted because you added in tons of wikilinks that aren't there now, aren't needed, and don't follow the MoS:DP. As long as you leave those out, I'd say go ahead and be bold on how the links are organized in categories. Tedernst | talk 03:02, 12 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
OK, done. The problem is that the titles of the linked pages themselves are so maddeningly inconsistent that the list itself still looks messy, and any attempt to impose a uniform style and set of information for each bullet in the transit link section will cause weird repititon of information because the style manaual forbids piping the link names. Oh well, I think it's improved a bit now anyway. --Jfruh 03:21, 12 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
