The phrase "Dover extensively quotes from the records of the trial" seems misleading to me, as I'm pretty sure the source would be the following speech of Demosthenes (which is a far cry from actual 'records'): http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Public_Orations_of_Demosthenes/On_the_Embassy Geranian Nestor (talk) 13:50, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

"The work has been criticized for restricting itself to Archaic and Classical sources and for reducing an affectionate and pedagogic relationship to a dynamic of power imbalance. Though a landmark study in its time, some aspects are now seen as dated." These statements obviously need citations. I tend to agree with them, but Wikipedia articles should not be based on the options of the wiki editors. Pcap ping 00:54, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Need for additional citations template

edit

I have removed a sentence that I think was not properly supported. In the rest of the article I see nothing that is not based in the work of Keneth Dover, Greek Homosexuality. I think it is a reliable source for the subject of the article, and therefore I am proposing to remove the tag asking for additional citations.--Auró (talk) 21:04, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

The introduction in the content section is not from the book. The content will be drawn from the preface of the book to avoid any confusion Major Torp (talk) 20:36, 20 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
