Encyclopedia vs dictionary edit
The circumstances of the bell and the circumstances of its tower belong together in any treatment that is truly encyclopedic. "Dictionary thinking" attempts to break each entity into its smallest parts and makes entries for each: dictionary thinking loses information that is gained in encyclopedic articles.

101 scholars edit
[1] indicates that the 101st scholar was added to the foundation of Christ Church in 1664, not 1663; another source online claims that the 101st chime was for the Dean.
