Analysis of quotations for DYK
- Robin Hood Marketing - "more than half of all men's socks sold at U.S. department stores are the Gold Toe brand"
- Gold Toe website - "the GoldToe brand represents more than one-half of all department store sales of men's dress socks in the United States"
- Washington Post - "Of all the socks sold, 60 percent are black, according to Gold Toe Hosiery, which should know, because the Burlington, N.C., company controls 54 percent of the sock market"
- China, Inc. - "a Burlington, North Carolina, company that controls half of all department store sales of men's dress socks in the United States"
I would use the China, Inc. source, as it is the most specific. It mentions where the socks are sold (US department stores) and what kind of socks (men's dross socks). Interestingly, the Gold Toe website is also this specific, but since it is a WP:SPS, it is best to have confirmation from an outside source. Awadewit (talk) 17:16, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
