• I believe the 2nd para of the lead should start with details of his birth.
• had children with wife Maria Carter Would be good to add the number of children as well.
• His third wife, of 30 years, was Louisa Thompson When did she die?
• the age of eighty-six Unless we have a special reason, such as presentation, to keep numbers equal to or above 10 in words, we generally express them in digits as per the MoS. You should check this throughout the article.

Family and early life in Bermuda

• Tucker was born in Bermuda on St. George's Island, the second son of Daniel and Elizabeth Tucker I am sure the island was not their son.
• Add the date of birth.
• Reading included Tom Jones, The Vicar of Wakefield, and Arabian Nights This is something interesting. I have never seen such a "books read" part in other articles. What is the speciality of including this part? He could have read a lot of other renown books.

• Should we not say "first marriage" in the heading?
• find the academic work undermanding I think it should be "undemanding".
• through the connection with his cousin "through his cousin" would do.
• he anxiously returned to Williamsburg and began a courtship with Mary Byrd Farley, possessed of much charm and fortune, and to whom he proposed Seems a bit too fast. As if he rushed with the aim of proposing to Mary.

• The letter is said to By whom?

• proposing a remedy to slavery, entitled Letter to a Member of the General Assembly of Virginia on the Subject of the Late Conspiracy of the Slaves with a Proposal for Their Colonization (1801) I think the name should come first, then the proposal.
• The last two paras under Positions on slavery do not seem to belong there.
• Tucker, an incompetent marksman "incompetent" sounds a bit too strong, and a bit originally researched.

Final years

• If Tucker had displayed in his old age "a spirit of pugnacity becoming earlier years" as one detractor claimed, such a nature was not in evidence with his family A minor observation, this line appears a bit too positive about Tucker, and referring to someone as a detractor may appear like siding with Tucker. I might be wrong, but felt I should share this.
• He appears to have been consistent in his devotion, which was returned in kind. Could not understand this
