Wikilinks edit

Why are there so many red links in this article? I suspect they are former articles that have been deleted. If so, not much point in providing a link to a non-existent article is there? Escaper27 12:33, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, if I had to think of a reason, my guess would be, because he's signed to Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. I mean, I can not give an actual reason, but it just is that he's not. --JpGrB —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 00:50, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well I think an artist can be only ajointed up to at least 3 lables, including the main major lable. In this case, the main major lable is Interscope. Eminem, also signed to Shady/Aftermath/Interscope, brought in 50 cent and agreed to Dr.Dre to signed him to their own major lables (Shady and Aftermath). Then 50 would have to be signed to Interscope fully, to be fully signed to Dre and Em's lables.

Also, I think he is signed as a group member in G-Unit, which means only his group albums are on G-Unit Records, while his solo work is for Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.112.120.133 (talk) 04:29, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreleased albums edit

I happened to be looking and I have two questions. The first is, should the link to The Big Withdraw be taken away, seeing as it redirects to Lloyd Banks? And the second is regarding the other album, Olivia's album. On DatPiff the album is available as Behind Closed Doors (the Album We Never Received) and it is listed as being by "DJ Tre'i Starzz , G-unit , DJ Whoo Kid". Could the link be used as a source, or even to make it somewhat "released"? I'm not sure, which is why I'm bringing both questions here. --JpGrB 09:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

There used to be an album about The Big Withdraw but it was deleted at an AFD. Also, regarding Olivia's album. DJ Tre'i Starzz isn't G-Unit's official DJ so it was released as a mixtape. It was never pressed up and released through Interscope. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 09:25, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Young Buck edit

Buck is no longer apart of G-Unit. him and 50 have recently leaked diss track to each other, and the shit is all over youtube. so it makes it clear that buck is no longer of G-Unit or G-Unit records. If you don't believe me than look on youtube. you will see tracks that were leaked. so if you don't mind i will remove Buck from the current roster list. Mcanmoocanu 19:57, 08 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

50 and the other members have stated numerous time since that he is still a member of the record label, and as YouTube is rarely a reliable source, I'm fairly sure others would agree it not be used here. --HELLØ ŦHERE 03:04, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
50 cent booted both banks and buck of the label. Mcanmoocanu
Then show a source for it. He, and the others, (Banks and Yayo), have stated he's still signed just not a member of the group. --HELLØ ŦHERE 22:39, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Game still on the lable and Mobb Deep has been dropped 50 CENT EVEN SAY IT HIMSELF in an interview check it out http://www.rapbasement.com/50-cent/111109-50-cent-says-that-the-game-and-young-buck-are-still-signed-to-g-unit-records-watch-all-here.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.3.59.151 (talk) 05:51, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just because he said Game is still on the lable doesn't mean its true! 2 albums and no G-unit logol on there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.9.244.162 (talk) 22:44, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

We've had this debate numerous times. Several points to note-
  • It was never stated that Game had left the label, only the group, which, as with Young Buck, we see can still be possible.
  • 50 specifically states that Game has to pay to not use the logo.
  • 50 Cent isn't signed to G-Unit Records as a solo artist, yet the label's logo appears on all of his albums. Logos aren't everything.
  • Also, as someone pointed out to me personally, Game has almost always "returned fire" pretty immediately after 50 or anyone in the G-Unit camp has said something about him. Something like this, still being signed to the label, probably wouldn't have gotten past him without him making some type of comment.
Now, I'm not saying I necessarily agree or disagree with the logic, but on Wikipedia we go by reliable sources. No sources have stated that he was off the label to begin with, so we keep it that he's still on. --HELLØ ŦHERE 23:12, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Then why is Game a former artist in Aftermath where he was originaly sign to. makes mo sence to stay on G-unit and leave Aftermath.

He can't leave only one label? Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks are still signed to G-Unit Records, but not to Interscope. It is possible. Not saying it happened, but if Game signed a five year deal with Aftermath and a ten year deal with G-Unit, it's most certainly possible. And also the fact that perhaps Dre is more understanding than 50. There are numerous possibilities, but we aren't here to speculate. We aren't a forum. --HELLØ ŦHERE 19:17, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
