Genera list

edit

DELTA-INTKEY [1] says:

Genera 15: Adlumia, Capnoides, Ceratocapnos, Corydalis, Cryptocapnos, Cysticapnos, Dactylicapnos, Dicentra, Discocapnos, Fumaria, Platycapnos, Pseudofumaria, Rupicapnos, Sarcocapnos, Trigonocapnos.

MOBOT.org [2] in Papaveraceae says that Fumarioideae containts 17 genera in 2 tribes (Hypecoeae with one genus Hypecoum and Fumarieae with 16 genera.)

Is this list better than current (when only 10 of 18 genera mentioned)? And what is our Fumariaceae: Fumarioideae or Fumarieae (i. e. should Hypecoum be included)?--213.247.213.207 13:19, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Flora of North America [3] gives 19 genera and 450 species. However it states : "Most European and some American systematists treat Fumariaceae as a subfamily of Papaveraceae. However, although a few taxa are morphologically intermediate, the members of Fumariaceae generally are quite distinct from those of Papaveraceae in several respects, including floral symmetry, sap character, and stamen number and fusion.". In other words, this article deserves a serious overhaul by someone familiar with the latest developments in this family (or is it subfamily ?). JoJan 13:44, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
