I have a problem with the line, "The Fulton Mall is an outdoor commercial center that primarily caters to African American clientele." It sounds like the article is politely, and in a roundabout way, trying to say that this stretch of Fulton Street is ghetto. The statement is opinion and false. Further, it paints an ethnically diverse area, full of people from different cultures, with a tired, racial brush.

Additionally the point of view of the article is not neutral. Non-blackness is presumed. Old Fulton is not "primarily settled by aging white hipsters who have day jobs and pay too much in rent." Nor is Fulton Ferry Landing described as "primarily catering to Asian newlyweds who insist on having their unimaginative wedding photos taken in the exact same spot as every other Asian newlywed in the city."

The line should be omitted. Trst (talk) 02:41, 25 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think that the Notorious BIG needs to be mentioned. A lot of his songs reference Fulton Street, where he grew up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.180.181 (talk) 01:00, 26 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
