spelling edit
Hi. When did the word "amoeba" get its spelling changed? I live in the english-speaking world, and I don't seem to have received the memo. Is this some recent American invention? AllGloryToTheHypnotoad (talk) 17:25, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
It's behavior edit
Does anybody know any scientific basis (or is it purely unknown) why this type of amoeba resorts to such nasty parasitism when it gets to the opportunity of infecting a human host? Simply shifting from a peaceful method of living to life threatening parasitism doesn't make any sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.163.222 (talk) 09:48, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
