How This page Was Created
editHi, I'm User:K.M.D1994. The creation of this page started when I created a page called "Frank Maresca". A proposed deletion of the article had been suggested by User:Plastikspork. After it was deleted I approached User:Plastikspork for a possible re-creation of the "Frank Maresca" page. Then on December 8th, 2009 Plastikspork created a page called Frank the Entertainer... in a Basement Affair due to the premiere date of the show being announced.Although, the "Frank Maresca" page was not re-created.
- I did not create the page. See the page history. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 19:02, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Infobox question
editIt says in this show's infobox that Frank the Entertainer... in a Basement Affair was preceded by I Love New York 2 and I Love Money. This is only tangentially true; this show is the first season (if any more are to occur) of a unique series. Although Frank Maresca was in the two aforementioned tv shows, I personally don't think that they qualify to fall under the "Preceded by" parameter. I wanted to see what others think before taking any action on it. So, thoughts? Jrcla2 (talk) 06:35, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
I agree the wording could be better, such as "Frank the Entertainer...in a Basement Affair starring Frank Maresca, who previously (or also) appeared in the VH1 series I Love New York 2 and I Love Money. Or something of that nature. It does imply that this is a continuation of the previous series which you are correct, this is a new series and the only tangential link is Frank Maresca appearing in the show.72.131.83.97 (talk) 20:33, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
His house?
editAlthough the show purports to be set in his parents' residence, this is a different house than previously featured in prior shows, and the decoration/furnishings seem professionally done and not lived in. Suggest changing the coverage of the house from "Frank the Entertainer welcomes 15 beautiful ladies into his parents' house" to "Frank the Entertainer welcomes 15 young women into his parents' purported house". —Preceding unsigned comment added by Punctum (talk • contribs) 04:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps they moved before this show was filmed? Plastikspork (talk) 05:39, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Totally doubt it, but I suppose it's plausible. Anyway, happy to see the offending text taken out for now.--Punctum (talk) 00:58, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Question about Episodes 2, 3, and 4
editHow do we know who got sent home in those 3 Episodes if they hadn't aired yet? 98.163.120.145 (talk) 15:53, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- That would appear to be vandalism. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 17:40, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ah ok, i was wondering cause i would've been sad that Annie (no matter how... odd she is) got sent home that early lol. But it is good to know that it was simply vandalism98.163.120.145 (talk) 22:53, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Cathy
editis from STATEN ISLAND! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.224.203 (talk) 11:14, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
yea why do you guys keep changing it back to long island? she is not from long island... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.28.136.42 (talk) 18:03, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
how do you fix it? where'd the long island thing even come from? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sublimeoqwee (talk • contribs) 22:50, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
in the link that's cited for her it says
Cathy Nardone, 23, of Staten Island, wasn't nervous about how she'd be portrayed, despite the common reality-TV complaint that editing creates unfair depictions. Nardone, who previously appeared on ABC's "I Survived a Japanese Game Show," says she was ready for anything.
"I knew I would be portrayed a certain way - I'm from Staten Island, and I'm kind of loud," Nardone said. "The only reason I did the show was because I was really attracted to Frank, and I definitely have no regrets." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sublimeoqwee (talk • contribs) 22:51, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
I just fixed it. Can't guarantee if others change it. JohnnyMak (talk) 17:15, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Jenny Jones
editIt was not a nude picture. --Ceezmad (talk) 04:08, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Episode 4: "Getting to First Base"
editThe main article says that Jenny was "nude" in the photo Frank found of her online. But Jenny has twittered in response to the allegation of nudity, "I wasn't naked n the blurred out pic...Lol I was no where near naked." (http://realitytv.about.com/b/2010/01/24/jenny-from-frank-the-entertainer-in-a-basement-affair-blames-editing.htm) She also posts the picture on her twitter account (http://tweetphoto.com/9490130) which, although provocative, is clearly not nude. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.0.133.201 (talk) 02:16, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Episode 3 elimination
editThe elimination section should include the fact that Frank couldn't understand Tammy's English. It clearly played a major role in his choice, and 'didn't feel a connection' is misleading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.209.215.87 (talk) 07:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Opening song
editCan we list the opening song with its lyrics in here? It would be interesting.--Cooly123 16:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talk • contribs)

Episode 8 wrong information
editKerry didn't receive her key on the date, she received it first at the elimination ceremony. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.81.73.108 (talk) 19:54, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Felicia was too good for Frank. She is a caring and quality WOMAN and LADY. I know she is better for having walked out on him. Frank is in heat, note the episode with the young girl's mom. All he wanted was a quickie with everything female. I hope Felicia realizes she dodged a bullet and continues her MBA education. A real man witll be grateful for such a great lady. Don't sell yourself short or cheap. Quality men are out there and real mean wouldn't act the way Frank did. Tony —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.88.78.218 (talk) 22:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Stub
editOK, I thought this show only airs in the US. I want to re-add the stub.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 23:11, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- First off, thank you very much for opening a discussion on this. This will be much better than having an Edit War.
- Per WP:STUB: "A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information, and it should be capable of expansion. Sizable articles are usually not considered stubs, even if they lack wikification or copy editing." This article, while possibly requiring copy editing or clarifications, does not fit the criteria for a stub. Whether an article is a stub or not is independent of what country the show airs in. - Oh, I see now. I can't believe I was wrong all along.--Yugiohmike2001 (talk) 00:13, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
More information
editIn the episode listing summary area most of the shows are incomplete. If we can had a small paragraph for each show (like the first few ones already have).--Cooly123 14:43, 30 July 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talk • contribs)
