Thanks nice and simple history. I just scanned my losing $2 ticket (#50) "The send Marge to California Raffle" Prize : 1/2 lb of "Food for Thought", Drawing Date 12:00 Nov. 14th (12th was crossed out) Cafeteria. --Rcollman 18:06, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It was a pleasure to edit. The fond remembrances of the school online kept me looking forward to finding more references for the article. --Oddharmonic 02:11, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Early History edit

Curious about the use of Forest Hills and Dow Academy. I thought the town closed the Academy and sent their kids to Littleton HS (cira 1958). The State then said that since the several trust funds were not being used for education in Franconia, they were going to take the funds. I thought the two year college started in Dow. Did the trustees of the college basically obtain both Dow (from the Dow Academy trustees) and Forest Hills (from UNH) at the same time in 1960? Rcollman (talk) 11:33, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Henry Corra edit

If the school closed in 1978, how can "Henry Corra '80, filmmaker" be listed under "Noted Alumni"? Fmullen 20:03, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I don't know the exact answer, but it could mean that 1980 would have been his graduation year (his class year) had the college not closed. Beginning 01:41, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
More like a typo or a sticking keyboard, so I deleted the year but not person since Henry is on the Franconia College web site as well (with much tighter security than Wikipedia) and ... I found a program: A "H. John Corra" was "Lucky" in Waiting for Godot, directed by Ronald Bennett. He appeared with other notables Robert Cole, Coby Batty, George Dunlap and James Abbati. That could have been 1973/74 school year. But there was no Corra listed in the "where are they now" attached to the Franconia Frolic of 1980 .--Rcollman 23:22, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Corra's Wikipedia article is worded as "Shortly after graduating from Franconia College in 1980, Henry Corra moved to New York City..." and I failed to confirm what year he graduated. I'll see what I can do about tracking down a verifiable source for his graduation year. Thanks for your sharp eye! --Oddharmonic 02:11, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair Use Warnings edit

Evidently no pictures or logos of Franconia can be used because of possible copyright violations. The bots (not Leon) and wikipedia copyright police will find them and leave template graffiti. Enough said. Leave your templates here.Rcollman (talk) 11:18, 21 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
