3 April 2008- Corrected spelling of "Eastajoca", Creek name for William Augustus Bowles.

28 March 2008- Added information on orginal area name of "Anderson" from maps in the University of Alabama historical map collection (1838-1884).Silverplate (talk) 04:28, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

24 March 2008- Removed linked advertisements and phishing scams. We could use some more info on Walton Guard history; I noticed on a Civil War era map references to "Anderson" near what is now FWB, and barns in what is now Destin. Silverplate (talk) 23:23, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

14 March 2008- deleted references to "William Jesse Rogers" as a pirate. No such evidence exists, and Rogers (who is buried in the Mary Esther cemetary) certainly didn't live in the late 18th century. The paragraphs refer to William Augustus Bowles, a well known Loyalist adventurer and pirate who was never referred to as "Billy Bowlegs" (a local fabrication, the "festival" in Fort Walton was created in the '50's as a tourist attraction). Billy Bowlegs is in fact an 19th century Seminole warrior (and certainly no pirate). Silverplate (talk) 00:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would say that this place is one of those unkown places you here about.

Danny Wuerffel is not actually from Fort Walton Beach. He is from Destin, but went to Fort Walton Beach High School because of the school's zoning guidelines.

When using traceroute for many samples, I've noticed that all packets pass by Fort Walton Beach, FL. That includes even from CA to TX. What's so special about this? Military intelligence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.69.235.86 (talk) 06:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
